Day 11

Today only a morning visit to the orphanage due to the VE day holiday.
Court Thursday (without Suze) at 10am.

Suze called at 9:45am-the Pens just won game 6 in OT (Straka), 3-2. Lemieux forced OT by scoring very late in the 3rd period.
By 10am, Igor picked us up to go visit Laura.
We took her outside & played near the van. Igor even started the engine & moved the van a bit. She had no problems with the van.
Sarah & Laura played in the back row of seats. At 11:30am Laura peed in the van! Most of it got on the rubber mats, with a little bit getting on the carpeting.
I tossed the mats outside & blotted the carpeting with napkins. Sarah took Laura in to get changed & Igor cleaned the mat with a rag.
After Laura got changed, it was lunchtime for her so we left (11:50am) probably won't see her on Thursday sue to court & paperwork.
Back at the apt. at 12:15, called Sheila to meet at Tsum by Baskin Robbins at 2:30pm.
Today is National Holiday commemorating V-E Day. No orphanages visit in the afternoon.
We met Sheila & went souvenir shopping in Tsum.
We went around the corner to "McBurger", a burger joint recommended by Igor.
We had hamburger combos.
After McBurger, we went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream cones, then headed back to our apts.
Got back by 5:30pm Olga & Edward brought dinner at 6:45 (dumplings, soup, salad, candy, cereal box)
Tatyana called-will pick us up for court at 10:30am. Sheila has 11am court appt & we have a noon appt.
Suze called-we went over last minute things.
On 11pm German news, Jim heard Lufthansa pilots are staging a 24 hour strike on Thursday!
What this means regarding Suze's trip to Almaty I don't know. Called Suze (she was cutting grass) and let her know if she's stranded in Frankfurt, the next flight to Almaty arrives at 1:40am Saturday.
Don thought that lasts week's strike only affected domestic German routes. Let's hope this strike can be averted and/or the Frankfurt-Almaty flight goes on schedule!
